The designs in this book are mainly inspired by flowers; even the teacups and teapots are decorated with flowers. Flowers lend themselves really well to embroidery because of their organic shape and they have a timeless appeal. Although there is a rich tradition of flowers appearing in embroidery I have tried to give my designs a clean and contemporary look, using fresh colours and subtle shading. In this book have designed patterns for a variety of projects, so that there are small pincushion designs, scissor cases and small pictures as well as the larger cushion and tablecloth designs. There are cross-stitch and needlepoint designs, so why not try a new technique if you have not done one of these techniques before
